Oh, yes…someone did. It’s Kim, at the Moonlight Baker.
Yesterday afternoon, I actually had to re-read her headline…to make sure it said what I thought it did. You see…I sort of have a tiny addiction to anything chocolate hazelnut. And by tiny, I mean…I’ll eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon, or a graham cracker, or my finger. Whatever. Everyone has quirks.
Moving on, when I saw this recipe I had an, “oh my gosh, I must make that tonight or I’m sure the world is actually going to end” moment. You can see, I had no choice! One reader reviewed the recipe as, “Pornography for foodies.”
Need I say more?
What I love is that there are very few ingredients, most of which I had at home already. I also added a little something to it…surprise!
- 8 Chocolate Graham Crackers
- ½ Stick Unsalted Butter, melted
- 16 oz. Cream Cheese, at room temperature
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- ½ C. Granulated Sugar
- ¼ + 1 Tbsp. Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- ¼ C. Nutella
You can find Kim’s recipe, along with some beautiful photos, here. The only tragedy is that you have to let them chill for 3 hours before
devouring enjoying. Yea…that’s going to happen.
Here’s how it went down:
Super Simple Ingredients…
…with an easy, delicious crust!
Process everything else together, add the first layer of cheesecake batter to the crust…and then, the secret ingredient…
16 Raspberries…one perfect little berry in each beautiful bite.
Into the oven after being topped with Nutella cheesecake batter. 35 Minutes later, on to the cooling rack.
Of course, then the real waiting began…3 hours in the fridge.
We actually stayed up just so we could have a piece!
By 10:30 last night…we’d had all the waiting we could take. It wasn’t completely cooled, but we had a mission…
Mission, accomplished. Ok, we didn’t actually eat it all…it was really late, after all.
This recipe was absolutely everything I hoped it would be, and the addition of fresh raspberries put it over the edge! Yum!
What is your favorite sweet indulgence?
Happy Wednesday, by the way…hope you’re enjoying your week so far!
